Alan Shebaro is of only four Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts in the US Army and the first BJJ Black Belt in the Special Forces. Alan is also the co-founder of the We Defy Foundation. The We Defy Foudnation provides combat veterans coping with military connected disabilities a long term means to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and fitness training.
On this episode Alan talks about competing in Jiu Jitsu and the advantages and disadvantages of certain aspects of the sport. We also discuss judo training, as well as some incredible stories about training Jiu-Jitsu in the late 1990s, and him becoming a Green Beret Special Forces operator and co-founding the We Defy Foundation.
