Danny Dring is a 7th degree black belt under Joe Lewis in the Joe Lewis Fight Systems (JLFS). Mr. Dring talks about how Joe Lewis was an influence on him as a teenager and meeting him for the first time in 1981 when Joe was in his 40s and making a comeback.
We also get into some stories from training at the karate college and what is was like Sparring with Joe. Joe was 68 years old when he passed away, but leaves a legacy of black belts who have diffused and proliferated his tactics, strategies and concepts.

Brandon Quick is a Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Jamie Walsh and Co-Owner of the American Grappling Federation. He is also the head of the BQuick JJ Network.
Brandon grew up in Socal and began training Jiu-Jitsu as a teenager and now has over 20 years on the mats. Brandon is also a Combat veteran. He is now headquartered in Texas.
On this episode, Brandon talks about teaching Jiu-Jitsu in 21 counties, his career training, teaching and competing, thought projection, his approach to teaching and training, growing up in LA, being an entrepreneur, the future of the AGF and planned expansions in the U.S. and internationally.

Mitch Lerner is an associate professor of history and director of the Institute for Korean Studies at the Ohio State University. He is an authority on American and East Asian diplomatic relations. Dr. Lerner has been writing during the pandemic and zooms into the podcast to talk about a couple of articles he has written and a book he has been working on.
